Hey ya'll...I have been wakeboarding for about a year now, and still dont know much about it...all i know is i absolutly love it. i have been using my big bro's hand me down board and i would like to get one of my own but i have no idea what kind or size! The one i have now is an o'brien 144cm...to me this seems a bit big?? any help would be awsome...THANKS

Yes that seems to be big for you, I'm 5'8 and about 150lbs and ride a 138cm.

I'd suggest a DoubleUp Soul 135 or Summit 137, or maybe a Hyperlite Era 135.

Find a local shop that does demos and try a few.

Most brands will make one or two boards for beginners. The boards aloharodeo listed were good. I would suggest the Hyperlite Motive and you can get it in a package with Split Bindings.

I love DoubleUp since I first demoed one 5 years ago, I would never ride anything else.

yep, all DoubleUps are good in my opinion. I like Nice bindings, though they take a lot of breaking in and some of them REALLY hurt to start with, but it's worth it. O'brien and Liquid Force also make good bindings.

whats your budget. the motive with splits is a good combo but if youve got more to spend you could get something nicer.
