I'm looking to pick up some new software develop advertisments for trade publications in my line of work.

Here's the problem, some mags only accept QuarkXpress OR Pagemaker, but they all accept photoshop. I heard that Pagemaker comes with photoshop in it. True? Also, can you develop a file in Pagemaker and save it as a photoshop document?

Thanks.

NAW, some versions of Pagemaker do have Photoshop LE (a lightweight version) included.

I just looked in Pagemaker 7, and did not see an option to save as a Photoshop file, but you can export directly to PDF. Is that good enough?

If it can export to PDF, that should work. I'll read up on it some more. Adobe website, I take it?

NAW, yeah, that's where I would go. Sh*t ain't cheap though... I can't imagine how much the bossman paid for our setup. We are running InDesign CS, Pagemaker 7.0, Illustrator CS, and a slurry of other Adobe programs including Photoshop and Acrobat.

We are definitely Adobe fans over here!

Yeah, but $700 will pay for itself the first month I run an ad without paying a design firm to produce it for me. Plus, I want to learn photoshop to make my riding look decent! Laughing
