can a sticker on the bottom of a board create drag?

Hey, i just put a sticker on the bottom of my absolute board and my dad said that it might create drag while im riding it. Could the sticker make that much of a difference?

That sticker won't but if you stick one of those foam #1 fingers on the bottom it would.

It won't create drag, until it starts coming off, which it will.

everything I put on the bottom gets scrapped...
thats why I spray paint shitawky on the bottom and put stickers on the top..

I think you could cover the entire bottom of your board in stickers, and then half peel them off, and the friction would still be negligible.

i wouldnt worry about it, because once it starts to drag .. it will come off while your riding

dude, take that sticker off of your board. the drag force created will alter the boards performance creating indefinite speed, washy ride, and a mellow pop that will destroy your riding. terrible idea.

and no it really wont do anything. itll just fall off once its time has come.

that sticker better be on the precise center of the board, you will be trying to ride straight and your board will be pulling you either to the right or the left. Just like if your car was out of alignment but probably much worse. Very Happy

just get some spray paint and paint over it and then take the sticker off and clear coat the spray paint and your set...

Why put the sticker on the bottom of the board when you can put it on the top. If you want a sticker on your board so bad put it on top so atleast you could admire it while riding.

Davo.FSF, i dont look at my stickers much when I ride, I dont know who does, but if anything I check look at on my board is usually just the water comin off of it and the little mini wake behind it, but now my sticker configuration, thats for others to see... Painting with a transfer always looks good, cuz you peel the transfer away at the end and it looks so clean cut.

Authentic_04, I wasn't serious about looking at your stickers while you ride. But what I'm trying to say is that if someone is so worried about having a sticker on the bottom of their board, why not just put it on top.

ya, hahha. stickers on the bottom of the board are so hot right now. the REAL reason i put it on the bottom was because i dind't want to croud the top of the board with stickers. and so when its on the racks or when i do mute or what ever the people in the boat will see it. I DON'T KNOW, I REALLY DONT CARE. Cool

if it comes off it comes off.

i'm just wondering where I can get some good stickers from... i saw a site where you could get your fav riders stickers but i don't remember what stie it was

if you speak to a local printer you can give them the images you want (logs and stuff) and have them put them onto really high quality sticker material.

Will cost you like 5 bucks for the job plus a buck a decal (depending on size).

ebay often have some nice ones, jsut trawl it and you'll find something

ya, do a search for wakeboard stickers on google and try some of the first sites and they have certain sticker packages of your favorite rider. So your board could look just like a pros board if u have the same board.
