you want a board that's 135-139cm, there's some pretty good completes on ebay right now. It's really best to demo a few boards before you decide on one, if you have a shop near you ask them about demos, take out a few in that size range and see which you like the best.

Demo, if you happened to get a good one w/out it you were lucky, there are different shapes for a reason. Bindings are even more of a personal preference than the boards. Plus you build up credit for when you buy so why not?

yeah, like noneya said you have to be lucky to get a board that really suits you without demoing first. It's worth it to demo, if you don't you could end up with a board you totaly hate, or can't progress with, then you're either stuck with it or end up shelling out more ca-ching for another one. Same goes for the bindings.

Don't get anything too agressive yet either. When they say you should start with a beginner board they arent saying it just because. It teaches you the feel

get like a 134-136, im 5'9 155 and i have a 134 and i love it. I would think a 139 would be too big for you, i mean not so big its going to make a huge difference but i would think youd want to go for like a 134-136. And since your just beginning look on like buywake.com or wakeside.com or boardersparadise.com all of those places have set ups that are allready put together that are relatively cheap. Once you get better you can upgrade. Demo'in is the way to go though, but if you dont have time and dont really care and just want a cheap board to get you started check out some of those sites, in like the clearance sections and complete setup sections and areas like that.

Hey what I would do personally is go to a shop. There is bound to be a shop somewhere around you. Its really nice to go and talk to people in person and they'll tell you all about the boards and what you probably need and stuff, then you try on bindings and whatnot to see what you like. Have fun!

Just make sure you are very comfortable in the board and bindings, at first the bindings will be sort of uncomfortable regardless because you havent worn them in but you will still be able to tell what you like and what you dont like. Just make sure the board isnt too aggresive for you and all that good stuff.

that link is not going to work for anyone but you, and it's probably even expired for you, it was a secure page.

I don't think that's a good board for you.
1. Freemotion doesn't rank high for me.
2. 134 is small, you're only 15, you will out grow that board soon, especially since it's the absolute smallest you should go for the size you are now.

You really should demo! I can't say that enough.

But if you are absolutely set on not demoing, go with a 137, that's right in the middle of the recommened lengths for your size.

Yes, that board is a LOT better!!! I'm actually thinking about getting that one for my 2 cousins to use, one of them is about the same size as you.

I don't know much about those bindings though, but O'brien makes quality products so they can't really be bad.

one size fits all just means they are adjustable, there's a lot of bindings like that these days.

yeah, the cobe is an even better board.

actually hl doesn't make very good quality bindings, a lot of people here have had problems with them tearing.

Im sure the HL bindings are better than those other ones hes planning on getting tho. I have LF sphynx which i love but are prob a lil too pricy for a person whos just beginning. He could use the ones he ordered for a while but eventually he'll want to get new ones and most likely a new board too.
