whats your worst wipout ever on a wakeboard?

got the wind knocked out of me for a few seconds - but ive only been riding for 2 months. Im sure i'll have worse once i start with my inverts later this fall or next spring.

i was out last week, and had a ton of really bad wipeouts. a lot on just simple HS W2W. my confidence got shot somehow last week, and i couldn't even w2w right, i kept getting pulled forward. well, a lot of bad falls came from catching my toe edge on landing. i had one where i fell really weird, and sacked myself on the water, then my head whipped down, and bounced off the water. one where i landed heavy on my tail, and then caught an edge, so i was whipped forward onto my face, then spun on the water a few times, not pleasant. one where i just continued to rotate on a raley attempt, and ended up doing a front flip, and landed on my back pretty bad. but the worst falls acutally came when we were tubing, because the water was too bad to wakeboard. i got some serious height, and came down on my own fist, and broke my nose. and there was one where i got massive air off a double up, yes a double up on a tube, and i went ahead of the tube, and i landed on the rope, right on my right hip/crotch area. it was so painful. the worst thing about it, is that the rope tightened up just as i landed on it, so it launched me back up.

i got quite a bit, I'll name a few.

My first really bad one was 5 years ago, I had been riding for a year at the time, I don't remember what led up to it, but I did a face plant so bad I had whiplash.

Another one was last year, trying a new trick I couldn't stick the landing, and more than one had my board hit me when I busted, once my board hit my arm (which made a huge knot, bruise, and cut) and at the same time my chin hit my knee.

yeh my wort was this year i did a back roll got 3/4 way around and caught the nose foot ripped out if binding and hip hit water so hard ai had a bruise from my knee to the top of my waist line could wakeboard for 2 days.

yea nothin too bad here, face plants. lots of em. but i heard about someone who scorpioned themself and had to get like 5 stitches in the back of their head

I know someone who's board hit him in the back of the head and got like 8 stitches. I know a guy who went huge way out in the flats off a massive wake and i think he fractured vertabra and got a bad bad concussion. And me well i went for a backflip and i got like 8 feet of air i was told then i was half way around and totally freaked and went straight down into the water. Got majorly winded and was super sore for a while

I was doing a lipslide to fakie and when I tried to go switch I caught my toeside edge. The board hit me in the back of the head while it was still attached to my feet. I had to get 5 staples put in my head.

Ive had many faceplants, many bruised body parts, a couple concussions and the most recent one was when i scorpioned and cracked my head open and i had to get stitched up.

My little cousin rode last weekend. He jumped the wake fell and the board caught him in the back of the head. He had to get 8 staples.

knocked myself out almost. my sight was dimming and I was super dizzy, I was under water and had to open my eyes just to stay consious.

Got my arm caught in the handle on a bs 180 and my whole arm swelled up and turned purple for about a month... I was riding 1 handed the next week though.

scorpion one time when one foot came out of bindings and the board tagged me in the back of the head. Another time, i went huge on a heelside w2w, landed about 15ft out in the flats right into another roller, feel funny, and tore my ACL. still recoverin

caught my toe edge on landing a W2W five years ago...pulled my left elbow..Pain! got up again and fell right away faceplanting again...when I got back in the boat and was driving my left arm locked up and swelled up like a balloon...
Trip to the doc later that day..then to the lab for x-rays fracture/disloctaion of the left radius....to this day any strain on my left arm cause swelling and pain.

all good...no balls no fun. some times you just have to give your all.

I was messing around wakeskating and I flew up in the air and when I came down my back knee came and hit the back of my front knee and then my knee hit the foam top of the skate and crushed in the front knee from both sides. Luckily I didn't land in the middle of the skate and just knocked the edge but I had a dead leg for 3 days (Couldn't walk) and it swelled up and bruised. Then another time wakeboarding I was trying Tantrums and I dropped the rope and it got caught and when it unhooked from whatever it was caught onto it went straight into my leg (the hard part of the zero g carbon handle) and I had another dead leg for a few days and a nice bruise to show off.

One time my friend was all "i'm gonna do a butter slide!" and so he tried it... IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WAKES which isn't a big deal if you know how to surface 180. well his back foot came out and he scorpioned himself like that... i could see his effin skull... blood... a lot of grossness... and him cracking up the whole damn time

Holy crap, that's nasty. Worst I ever did was a scorpion followed by loss of a year of my life. Luckily remembered it 30 mins later. Sick part is I thought I was still with my ex girlfriend cause I thought it was a year earlier.

It was a concussion that shut of my memory from the past year. We had just bought a boat so I wasn't sure what the hell I was doing in a nice boat. I also didn't remember getting my drivers license. Crazy stuff really.

BleedingDead, yea i dont know why it happens but when i did that, i was the one in the most control and was cracking jokes the whole time. I think its bc it didnt hurt really bad at first and well i couldnt see my hair i have blonde hair and by the end of my hospital visit i came out with what it looked like kool aid dyed red hair. I also never saw how i fell and i didnt hear it, supposedly you could hear me smack the water and the board hitting my head from the boat with music on. But everyone around me was freakin out! I just told them to get me a towel and i put pressure on my head and then i sat there amazed at what had happened and just kept on crackin jokes or sayin stupid stuff. Then i called my mom and left a message on her voice mail saying, "Mom dont worry everything's allright, i just want to go to make sure everything is ok, which hospital should i go to? Love you!" Im such a wonderful child. Really.

Just had a nice thing a few days ago. Tantrum and on impact (when i bent knees to absorb landing) my elbow hit my knee... hurd like crazy, but i was just thinking if it would fo hit harder that could be a really serious injury.

Yea. I had a few this week. Doing simple w2w jumps. catching the toeside of the board on the downside of the wake and diving in head first into the water messes up your face and knocks the wind out of you

it was actually really cool

also i over rotated on a 3560 somehow and fell on the back of my head which hurt alot

last year i was getting up on slaom but the rope was ripped out of my hand, it drug me and the ski underwater and broke it in half, but befor it did it caught my leg and pushe all the muscle to my ankle, gave me massive rope burn and tore the tendons in my ankle, it took 1 month for the swelling to go down, and 3 months before i could slalom or board
