Not exactly sure if this would be the right forum. But.........being a newbie here what the heck.
Any recommondations on shorty wetsuits? What thickness? brand? mobility? etc?
On inland lake in Michigan. Warm water now....but like over this past weekend we had only 60 degree air temp and windy. Chilly chill. Water is about 80 however. Lake chills down come September. Any wetsuit users have any suggestions? I looked at Overtons and Barts.com. Just trying to narrow it down.

I have a RipCurl Dawn Patrol suit, it works great for me, I think it's 2and3m, not too sure though.

Hey DBudman,
DiversDirect had some good prices on suits - I have a shorty that's a 3mm, a full that's a 3/2 and a drysuit - lots of black rubber to choose from...
Both my wetsuits are RipCurl - my shorty's 5 years old and going strong - just take care of the zipper...and of course NEVER leave a suit in the sun and store them DRY and CLEAN

How much did you purchase your RipCurl Dawn Patrol suit for? I bought my "hang ten" shorty from a "play it again" sports shop except they had a brand new one there. The only problem with the shorty's is when you take them off, and your board shorts are up to your thigh showing off your tan line  |

you really don't want to know how much i got it for, but I'll tell you anyway. I got it brand spanking new when the dawn patrols first came out for the wonderful price of $19.99, that's right 19 dollars and 99 cents. The chick at the shop had mismarked it, it was supposed to be $199.99!!! the shop owner let me have it for $19 'cause "you're a local you'll be back".
I would never buy a thing from play it again.
I where long boardshorts most of the time so I don't have that problem.
