i was wondering if there was anybody else other than myself that hunts on this message board, and i say hunting i mean game hunting, not beaver hunting.

no i really do snake hunt---not the kind ur refering too---are seawall is full of them so i get are shotgun and wait for them---then *BOOM* byebye snake

in high school we would go spotlighting. i dont know if you can call that hunting though. that's also the kind of stuff that gives hunters a bad name though.

dave, i have always loved turkey hunting. its my 2nd favorate behind duck hunting, do you know any good websites that have step by step advice for calling, i have been practing with a mouth call and scratch plate, but this is my first year of calling, i have always been the one with the gun and my dad called

wakegirl- it's easy you just look through the scope, line up the cross arows and gently squeeze the trigger. j/k

think of hunting this way. due to suburbs taking up animals natural environment they're compressed into a smaller environment with less food which equals starvation. by hunting you manage the amount of animals in a given area providing the survivors a better place to live.

no dude you shoot the big one so the little one can have a better life. do you think that little skinny buck is ever gonna get any play as long as the big ones around? chances are the big one had already had his share and it's time for the little one to get his.

I hunt dove, deer, quail, rabbits. My best friend took a HUGE 170 lbs whitetail this year, it scored a 156 on B&C, but this thing was mammoth!

wakegurl... you don't just shoot em to shoot em!!! you shoot em for food, to get mounted, to keep the population under control, for a thrill that is like no other, etc... i think if you went you would completely understand. Wink

you took the words right out of my mouth, the DNR department of Natural Resources did a study, and they came up with the conclusion that if deer wouldnt be hunted, than there would be no deer, they would kill eachother off and become extinct.

dude i hunt everything but i do it for sport and its always great to get some meat but no one can seriously tell me their reason for hunting is to keep population down im gonna call bull stuff on that.

my family hunts everything from hog to deer to any birds but duck. we also make our own sausage at the house so it taste so frickin good.

Arkansas is awesome dave, i was supposto go hunting there for pintails this year, but the 2 groups that went before i was supposto go had bad hunts,so we cancelled the trip, i am still waiting to get myself a pintail, i have only shot one and the tail was short so i didnt get it mounted. hopefully next year i can make the trip, duck hunting here in SC was really good, untill we had a warm streak for about a week. that really slowed down the duck. before the streak, i would shoot my limit,..or close to it every time, and after the streak, i would go sometimes and not even see a damn bird.
