Hey all,
Been having a bit of trouble with my toeside edge. Just seems that whenever I get outside the wake, I feel pulled back in, and my right foot wants to pull forward (I ride left foot forward). My shins also get sprayed a bit, is that normal? I have a feeling it's just my technique, is there a 'proper' way to do it? It's getting a little frustrating having trouble with such a basic maneuver.
Thanks. |

really make sure that you push that handle across your body and almost try to push it to your left part of your butt. Handle placement has alot to do with t/s edge. the farther you push it toward the left part of your butt the more the nose of the board will point towards the wake.
Also you wana lean away from teh boat like you would for h/s.
Rolling your knees forward can also help, if you don't know what im talking about and have access to a video check out how scott byrley cuts t/s.
one thing i usually tell people to do that helps them figure out their t/s edge and may give you trouble at first is to try to cut out as far as you can on your t/s with your goal being to cut out far enough where the driver could look out to his right and you be sort of be parallel with him. Then drift back to the wake and start over again. If you don't have the right edging you won't make it half way there. So you can experiment untill you find the right weight distribution and so on that will get you out there a good ways. (im not saying you should be able to make it parallel to the driver but just sorta have that as your goal)
i tried to throw out a few things you can try, hope this helps... _________________ www.hyperlite.com

| You dont really need to cut really really deep into the water, just use a progressive edge up to the wake. |
