I have just started to learn how to wakeboard, but I don't have a clue on any of the boards that are out there, like what the numbers mean and all the different styles. I am 5'9" 175lbs, if that helps at all. My buddy's board is one of those cheap all in one deals and it just doesn't feel very comfortable at all. Can anyone help me with what size of a board I need and maybe a few suggestions on brand and style. Thanks for the help!!!

go here http://www.buywake.com/catalog/index.lasso?cat=18 all of those companies are big names, the boards they have there in the package deals section are not "high end" but they are perfect for people in your position. for size you can refer to the manufacturers page but somewhere around 138ish would do you fine.

I just bought the 2003 Liquid Force Balance ultra core 140, which is made out of balsa wood. It was $279 at evogear.com and it retails for like $580. If you are just starting though I probably would not b/c it is more of an advanced board.
