Can anyone figure this out? Thanks for your help.

What operations does ^ do?

Look at these examples.

3^6=0

8^6=5

100^100=50

5^5=2.5

6^5=3.5

6^8=2

100^50=75

6^1=5.5

Yeah, that's how you get the answers, but I thought ^ had to do with exponents? Shocked

What class is that for?

It's from my 11 year old sister. I made every equation i could think of for it and coudlnt figure it out.

^ usually does deal with exponents but in this case it was used as a symbol.

yeah - its just a random symbol that they use. twerp has those kinda things all the time, 'cept they usually use stars instead of ^'s...

quiggly- i know that those symbols usually mean exponents but if you'll look at the problems they were used as symbols. i couldnt use x because they would all have to have the same value if i used x. my little sis used smiley faces but i didnt feel like filling in all the ^ things with a smiley face.
