to get started, all you need is:
board, bindings, some form of pull (boat, PWC, friends running really fast on shore)
rope, and i suggest a vest.
you don't need a pylon, or fat sacs, and for rope length, 50-80 ft will work for now. |

fat sacs/mattresses are just large sacs or bladders that hold water to add weight to your boat to give you a bigger wake. The length of your line may vary depending on your boat and wake, but I would stick between 60ft and 70ft.
Make sure you use non stretch rope as well, I'm sure someone else here can give you the official name of it.
that's all I can think of for now. |

Get low stretch or non stretch rope. Non stretch is much more expensive.
If you get some ski rope at walmart you will not be very happy back there. That is what I used to use, and now I use a low stretch line (Accurate brand) that I bought at sun and ski sports with a nice 15 inch handle for $40. Came with a little bag and everything. _________________ Visit www.nashvillewakeboarder.com for riders in the Nashville, Tn area! |
