at the turns the rider build of alot of tension on the line by edging and at the turn the tension is so high when they jump the cable is already around the turn and the rider is not so it slingshots the rider into the air to give them some nice air................... lots of practice

I'm riding behind both cable and boat at the moment, and i'm quite new to wakeboarding, only started at the end of last season, but I get lots of tips about tricks and i hope i can learn to do the rally soon. Our cable is quite good because there is lots of tension on the line at the start. Hard to start when you're new to the sport, but with the proper technique you can get good air.

rybassett17, I go to Ski Rixen down here in South Fl. I went yesterday with my brand spankin new LF Balance 140. I never before could get the right progressive edge to do it on my small piece of crap Obrien Rail 132 but dude i was amazed at how close i was yesterday. I wasn't doin the raley but I was feeling the pull and I was doin long ollies.. like 6ft far.... (one step at a time)
I'm psyched about goin sometime next week soooo I'll see what happens.... by the way thanks for the tip I'll try it when I go. Cool

yea dude, sory i didnt get on here b4 you went but if it still helps.... You have to cut out (depending on which foot forward you are) at a turn. for goofy you have to cut obviously heelside toward the operator just b4 the the pully goes around the corner and lean against the rope as its transitioning around the corner and makesure you have the line tight and it will all fall into place. just go for it tho dont try to bail out. and as for regular point ur board towards the opr. just b4 pulley turns, as this happens take a solid prog (obvious again heelside) cut to the inside of the cable and ull start to feel like ur gonna go forward ovr and feceplant as u feel that cut hard against the rope and it will pull u out. that is for both goofy and reg,.. prog heelside cut and its all about timing.. good luck!! ....PS u live down here in s fl right? were u go to school?...if u dont mind........ i go to Chaminade...peace out man... im tired ZZZZZZZZZZ

Joey1027, at TSR your not allowed to do Power tricks right as the carrier passes. You have to wait until after it passes to do it.

dumassonwheels89, I was at TSR two weeks ago after the tournament. I got a chance to watch and ride with a couple of the riders that came back out on Sunday. These guys were loading the line and throwing inverts/raleys right by the operator. I'm curious what you mean when you said that TSR doesn't allow "Power tricks as the carrier passes"?

Can you clarify what that means? Not that I'm at a point to try a cable raley..but it doesn't hurt to know. Thx.

dumassonwheels89, im with 303, on that u need to clear up what a "power trick" is unless its just using the line tension for air tricks.... PS ive never been to TSR but i would definately like too, although i live in s. florida Cool

for TSR it goes like 2 hr, 4hrs, day I beleive.

and at texas ski ranch you have to wait until the carrier passes the corner, and then you can pull out your raley or s-bend or backroll or what ever you feel like doing
