The video is in my gallery. I need some advice on getiing more air. I can clear the wake but I don't think I am getting the "pop". Any tips, advice, instruction, etc. would be appreciated.

boat: 94 mc 205
speed: 22 mph
rope: 65 ft + 5' handle
ballast: 0 lbs

It looks to me like you wake is tiny. I havent been involved in wakeboarding for a long time, but it looks like your form is good. I suggest some form of ballast system or something. and if im wrong, someone please correct me....

shorten the length of your rope to 60 or 55 feet. wake is smaller when your not as far out. 65 feet is pretty far if you cant even jump the wake yet. hope that helps. good luck.

I agree - form looks good, you just need some additional wake. Try a couple of fate sac's; one in the back and one up front. Bring a bunch of friends too.

Oh, and when you get that wake up to about two feet - hang on Very Happy

WakeDog,

A phat sac or three will make you a joyful airborne camper. However, that wake's not much smaller than my I/O's, and you can get more pop out of it on occasion - it requires concentration and very, very good timing. Your first jump in that vid looks like the cleanest - nice trajectory and position in the air. Also, you're good at looking out at the shore - you have very stable landings, an excellent fundamental. You also stand tall well - the first jump especially. The only thing I noticed is that you might be able to slow the start of your progressive edge even a bit more, and edge harder going into the wake. However, I'm not a coach and not even a very good boarder, so someone who knows more may say different.

Good luck, bro!

I can raise my trim on my sea ray and change my wake from about 1.5 feet to 2.5 feet and I still dont get as high as you, so your beating me Smile

Im going to try tomorrow to stand like you are to see if I can do better. Nice video.

Lean back harder (try sitting....) during the cut and stifften (not straighten) your legs right as you hit the wake.

As everyone else has already said, you probably need more wake.
