I haven't heard bad things about the moomba wake, just the build quality. Which I have heard they fixed. So... show some pictures of your vinyl to impress the moomba haters.

Nice wake by the way. That looks like fun.

Thats what I'm talking about. How do you have it weighted? Looks like a perfect wake to me.

People should show the full wake when posting wake shots!

I'm not being critical of the wake - it's sweet, but it's important to get the full picture.

prestige, Heres a pic of the full wake. Doesn't look quite as big without someone in the pic, but believe me, its everything you can handle.

Jon, I've got the bertha 3 bag ballast filled. Thats 350 on each side of the engine and a 550 in the locker. Also have another 550 where the removeable seat goes and a 550 on top of the ski locker.... plus as many hot chics as possible. That would equal....um 2300# plus 1000# females at 100lbs each.... for a grand total of 3300#.

Alright, I'll post the obvious question: PICS of the hot chicks. You obviously know what a good wake looks like. Now lets see if you know what a hot chick looks like Mr. Green

hey, i just saw your comment about the vinyl in moombas to impress the moomba haters. just to let you know, Moomba uses the same vinyl as Supra, Mastercraft, and Nautique. Malibu is the one with cheap vinyl.

I don't know about that but Moomba haters complained about the interior quality. Check out this thread for an example.

http://forums.wakeboarder.com/viewtopic.php?t=22478

I would consider buying one for sure. The price is right and like I said I heard they fixed these problems people were complaining about.

if jumalian or funkster were here, im willing to bet they would say these two things...
1. you CAN NOT tell how good a wake is from just pictures. the wake could have a great shape, but if its too soft its nothing but crap.
2. the wake is washy in all of the pics. not sure how fast the boat is going or how long the line is, but it looks to me that the wake is decent for about 5-10 feet and after that it washes over.

that being said, i'd like to ride a moomba and supra and see what the wake is like in person. i dont mean to hate on the pics posted, im just making some observations...

Why would anybody hate a Moomba? I think many "Moomba haters" are riding around in daddy's boat. Wink

But seriously, I think ANY inboard beats the hell out of ANY i/o. Just my opinion though.

I agree that you can't tell jack about a wake from pictures, period. I've yet to see ANY photos where the wake didn't look totally small to me. Hell, I was watching the Pro Wakeboard Tour on ESPN the other day, and the wake the X-Star was putting out looked puny on video, and it's supposed to have a monstrous wake.

All I know is the first time I rode behind my SSV after owning a PS 205 for years, was I said "Holy sh*t" the first time I went over the wake, lol. For some reason you just can't capture a wake's size really on video. I guess it's trying to put three dimensions into two. Wierd.

scott a, 5-10 feet? I ride at 75' and the wake is perfect and not soft at all. It may look washy because the pictures are zoomed in. I'll attach another pic of a rider at 75'.

churchy, c'mon... 35'. give me a break. Rolling Eyes this aint my first time at the lake and i don't use a rainbow rope like on your boat. Colorful

Hollywood, the wake may just look washy becuase i wasn't up to speed in the second pic. i don't really remember, a friend was taking the pic.

Heres a rider at 75'...... go ahead, im sure you have some more negative input.... Rolling Eyes

You guys can bash his wake, boat, rope length all you want. If its standard to have chicks like that on the back of the boat, his boat pretty solid.

There is nothing wrong with that wake except that you told people it was a moomba. I'd like to see a pepsi challenge.

The boat is too small, the rope is too short, the wake is too washy, the boobs are too pointy and your momma dresses you funny. So there. Wink

NAW, I'd like to go, but I'm thinking its a pretty good haul from Louisville
for just a couple of days. Did you go last year? Is it worth it? Also on the 10th
and 11th the Hyperlite tour comes to Taylorsville Lake about 30 miles South East
of Louisville. They are supposed to be flying in a few pro's and its sponsored by
Red Bull. Beginner and Intermediate Div's on 10th and Avanced/Outlaw Div's on
11th. Both days Registration is at 10am and Event start is Noon.

trammill, Louisville's a haul for sure. I think it's a good time, but it's also closer for me. I've been looking to do a camping trip somewhere in central Indiana, just don't know of any good location.
