my cousins in ohio have a 94 ski nautique and I'm going back to ride with them for a week... I think they only put a 350 on each side of the engine, but i dont think this is enough.
How much weight do you guys suggest? I was just going to take a 500# to put in the back to add to it.
thanks for any input

| I think adding 500 as planned will help you a lot. |

| I think you're still going to be looking at a decent wake. The 90's era Ski Nautiques had the spray relief pockets and a pretty small wake, but still not as small as the non-bowrider ski-boat equivalents from Malibu and MasterCraft. I would just say weight it the same as a Sport Nautique. 500 in the back, as much as you can fit on the sides (350-500) and some weight in the front to balance it all out (100-250) |

My buddy has a '94 and I have '96. In both boats we put a 350 lb on each side of the engine, a 550 lb in the back, and a 250 lb filled about 3/4 in the bow. The wake is pretty nice with this set up. The more people you can cram in the boat the better.
The wake will not be as big as the Malibu set up you mentioned above, but I think you'll be pleased with the shape of the wake. It's much more rampy than the Malibu set up. _________________ "I'm not a professional wakeboarder, but I did stay in a Holiday Inn last night". |
