| we used sand for a couple of years, it works as well as water but you cant remove it easily and the trailer springs and gas milage of the tow vehicle suck. then when we went to take it out it had gotten wet and was a real bitch to get out of the boat. and there was a huge mess to clean up. I wouldn't do it again, but on the other hand it was cheap. |

we had some large plastic baggs very heavey duty, put about 75lbs in and then double bagged them. they held up for two seasons, two behind the fat sacks and two in the bow(closed bow 86 prostar) never made a mess but still in the way just the same so we are going to add bigger sacs this year. _________________ Pukka Electric Mininbike "Fast - Fun - Safe"

| i put two 50lbs sand bags in the bow of a supra comp, put them in a garbage bag and then put that in a big pillow case so the garbage bags would not get ripped open. |

I use 5 gal. buckets full of sand.
I fill the bucket with then slowly runn water in to the bucket and allow the sand to absorb the water in takes a while and is a slow process but when done they will weigh about 125lbs a bucket I have 3 in my bow and someties run with 2 in the back. _________________ Save a board...ride a wakeboarder! |

use gasoline cans, then it,s a little more convinient to carry them but dont put to much sand in them and they will hold better.
You cold put lead weights that are used to balance car tires in the cans instead of doing lead bars. Lead is approximately 13 times heavier then water. |

I did exactly what Supra does. We bought 50lb bags from Menards of Sand box sand. Put them in black plastic bags and then in pillow cases. Up under the bow seats, about 7 of them fit. We don't trailer the boat, If we did, I would use fat sacs. _________________ www.MidwestMilitia.net |

| I just ordered some 60lb bags from letsgoride.com - Hope to fit them under the seats in the bow. Haven't got the bags yet but I hear they're pretty sweet. |

The thing to do is get lead tire weights. I got 1100 lb for around $200. I put them in smaller tupperware containers, and they weigh about 110 lb each. I also took 5 gallon bottled water jugs, and filled them with sand and water. They weighed about 100 lb each. Lead is the way to go, but I am going to put them in smaller containers this year probably about 50 lb each. _________________ I'm steadily progressin' --- Swollen Members |

We've used sandbags before, just put them in pillow cases. make sure you wash the pillow cases a couple of times if they are new(and cheap) otherwise when wet they can bleep their color onto your carpet...had to learn that the hard way.

I have:
1) 2 forty gallon ruffneck bins with 2 cinder bllocks a piece rest filled with loose sand, they both weigh 140 lbs.
2) 10 sandbags (500 lbs) also in the nose. (forget pillow cases they don't budge)
3) Fat Seat (1500) lbs.
4) 12 more sanbags in storage runners along side of boat and in front of fat seat.
Grand total of 2800 lbs. Yeah boooy! _________________ Raley cut everything! |

| you can get sand bags at hardware stores for like $1.29. They seem like they hold around 60 lbs. or so. |
