1986 Correct Craft Silver Nautique. Our business is a money pit, so we can't afford to shell out for a new boat right now (malibu would be nice). This winter I'd like to put some work into ours. Mainly, the boat needs new paint and decals (sun and dock damage). If I can find someone who has the decals, I can paint it and apply the decals myself. I'm just trying to keep it close to original (limited production run. i am willing to put a wedge on it though). Id also like to find something that will restore the vinyl seats. They aren't really torn or anything, but something that will clean them up and make them shine again. If anyone knows where I can find the stuff to bring it back to life (any kind of parts distributor or whatever. replica or genuine, doesnt matter), I'd really appreciate it.

Oh yeah, a new engine would be badass too. The 302 ford just isnt doin it anymore. Will a chevy 350/396 fit? It is a 1986 correct craft ski nautique 2001 (2001 isnt the model year, just model. only tryin to avoid confusion).

New engine, especially a Chevy block requires new exhaust manifolds and risers, and I would guess that the Transmission would require some kind of work to mate it up. A 351 however should have manyh of the same parts. As for parts, you should look on www.skidim.com I have an older boat and color sanded it and really brought the gelcoat back to life, you may want to look into that before buying paint, especially if you like the color the boat already is.

your motor is a 351. or it should be. you can not use a wedge on it. for the stickers try the dealer and if that dont work take a good quality digital image. to a good sign shop and they will replicate them. on the vinyl try castrol super clean then 303.
the motor swap wont be cost effective. you will have to spend too much on misc crap the motor turns the opposite direction so you will have to bust into the tranny and buy a lh prop
