hey is the Liquid Force Substance 138 a good board a a beg. ? that 5'9" 150

The evo or the litmus would probably be better for a beginner. The substance is a more agressive board that might be difficult for you to control.

I would suggest one of those starting riding with the center fin in and then when you feel like you're doing really well and want to progress to another board take the center fin out. That will teach you good edging technique then when you switch to the Substance in 2-3 years you'll be ripping it up.
