Yeah I have a Banshee too - but it's mostly stock except for the normal pipes/silencers. Usually hit Glamis but also make trips to Buttercup and Gordon's Well once in a while.

Here's a pic from a trip in January.

This is one of my old Banshees. I have a dirtbike now but I'm selling it and will either get another Banshee or fix me up a 250R.

Hopefully you're not riding in the closed area since the BLM and the environmentalists fly over the area every Saturday during desert season and count the tracks (yes, I'm serious). Hopefully the closed areas will be reopened soon since the BLM should release the new management plan within the next month or two. Also the American Sand Association (ASA) has filed a lawsuit to have the Pierson's Milkvetch (PMV) removed from the endangered species list.

It was this plant that was used as an excuse to close the dunes, even though the plant is thriving. A count was made 2 years ago and almost 100,000 were found. The ironic part is that more plants were found in areas that are open to off-roading and it appears that it may even help the plant by spreading seeds and disturbing the sand to allow the seeds to be covered and protected.

More info: http://www.americansandassociation.org/ http://www.ca.blm.gov/

Here's a pic of a buddy catching some serious air on his quad:

I have friends who ride and I'm down with that but moto has become so trendy lately it makes me want to puke. I have know problem with anyone who rides but the groupie crap has got to go. where can I find a "delta" sticker Twisted Evil

i couldnt have said it better myself. that's one of the reason's i got out of it. the groupie's took over the mx scene in my area in 99-00 like you wouldnt believe. in like 2 years every wannabe badass 16 year old in west texas got themselves a dirt bike. form what i've seen it's only getting worse too.

So are you going to give up wakeboarding as it becomes trendy? I can't imagine giving up something I love just because it becomes popular or trendy.

Here's another shot of Glamis on a recent trip after a storm smoothed out the dunes.

i said that that was one of the reasons. as long as i like to wakeboard ill keep wakeboarding. the new white trash crowd that was taking over motocross was taking away from the fun of it. the people that make up a sport have a big part in making the sport what it is. other reasons i quit were i was getting to the age and level that i would have to spend a lot more time riding and travelling to remain competitive and my dad just didn't have the time with 3 other kids. that's why i gave it up, not because it became popular or trendy.

Although, at the boat show i saw this thing, probably more gimmick and looks then ridability, but it looks pimp
