I am trying to buy a wakeboard for my wife and need help. This is her second season of wakeboarding so she is by no means an expert…yet. She has been water-skiing for years so I know that she will keep getting better. She is 5’7” and about 165 pounds (she would kill me if she knew I was posting this). I was thinking about the CWB Pure-135…any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks

P.S.
I already purchased the LF Divia, but after comparing it to my 134 LF Evo, I think it is the exact same board.

i've been demoing the cwb pure 135 for the last week. i'm 5'4'' and about 120 lbs i think it's kind of an advanced board but i really like the way it sticks landings (whenever i fall it's from letting go of the rope because i think i'm going to fall when i have actually already landed the jump....not sure if that makes sense)

anyway....yesterday on my first set we had the bindings moved in all the way and it was A LOT looser which i'm not too comfortable with yet but some people really like that....second set we moved them back out a little and it stuck a lot more. the board gives a lot of pop so it might be good if she's still learning (like me) because it's less work when jumping the wake. hope this helps Very Happy

Wow!! I don't know, I ride a big ol Ricky G, but I can only jump a wake (although it has really good pop, I go up high, but not over - if that makes sense Very Happy ).

I'm 5'4'' and 120 and ride a 135 hyperlite premier, I've had a range of people ride it, and it works for all of them. Its a good board to advance on.

you might want to go with something 136 or up - a smaller board means harder (knees) landings.....I was riding trip 133 and now belmont 136 -(more rocker too) the belmont has the same great pop and I can land in the flats without my knees killing me at the end of the day - board is easy to control on spins too -

jmo - I have ridden several of the girly boards - I didn't care for any of them - go with a board with a good reputation - I suggest a multifin - she might enjoy it loose without the center - this way she has some options!

since I've switched to the belmont I am consistantly landing wake to wake 180s - and don't mind really charging the wake for fear of knee pain on a flat hard landing
