I just started wakeboarding this summer, so my brain is suffering of overload. There is a lot to learn if you want to be passionate about this sport. My fiance has been boarding for YEARS.

And I digress..

We are moving from South Carolina to San Diego in September. Since we are moving our boat, we decided to make the most of it. Can anyone give me any tips on the best spots along I-10? We would like to stay no more than an hour away from I-10 (unless it's really worth it)
Thx
Jesi

San Diego is nice

I'm in CA so I only know of a few stops that you should make, and they're towards the end of your trip

Colorado River (this could provide serveral spots to ride)
Lake Mead
Lake Powell

September is a great time to hit the above two lakes (Spring can be just a hair windy)

Speaking of San Diego... Is there alot of places to ride within a reasonable distance (30 min)? We like to stay in completely fresh water.
Are all of those lakes in CA?

Lake Powell is Bordering Arizona and Utah

Lake Mead is in Nevada

I don't know So. Cal too good - I know there's a lake in LA called Lake Elsinore - but there could be others

Nor Cal has the majority of lakes, not So Cal. Elsinore is a trek from San Diego and I've seen it get really green. I think alot of people from San Diego board in a bay or something.
