Riders from Utah never get any respect. Utah has some really good riders that are making a name for Utah. I just wish that people would give respect to our little known state.

Still waiting for my respect.... Laughing

Truthfully, who cares what others think about Utah.....???? Besides hooking up with a few people from neighboring States that frequest this and the other site, I cross my fingers that people stay away.

We don't have any water as it is.....

E.J.

P.S. As far as respect for riders.... I guess I am too old to really know what that means....

i havent seen any sliders around. you would have to hide them pretty good to keep the park rangers from getting rid of them. we ride at jordanhell mostly. this year i plan on going to flaming gorge alot on the weekends to get away from the crowds.

Jim,

We just need to get up to Jordanelle on the weekday evenings. Then Starvation on the weekends. Flaming Gorge is a pull.....but very nice.

I am interested to see what happens with the slider that Taylor's built. You would think that since it is on a boats hull, they can register it like a boat and just drop it anywhere they want.

i only go to starvation for family reunions and the water conditions never seem to be very good but we do go on a holiday weekend, so that might be the problem.

well from utah county ever where that has good riding is so far away. i just got my april issue of wakeboarding mag. utah gets some good props in that article. but it is clear in the back and about half a page long. utah is going to start making a splash on the wakeboarding map now.

man, i don't really even care about getting respect. it was just something to start talking about. i am a byu fan. but i don't go around complaining about the team. they sucked it up this year. sure they might have got screwed two years ago but really, their schedule sucked. and basketball has never been a good sport for the y. mondays are usually the best day to ride at starvation. no one ever there

hey, i was just trying to be funny because everyone seems to think that i was being a downer about utah. i love this state and the people that ride here have such a great attitude about the sport. this state might just make a contender for the tour one day

I lived in Hurricane, UT for 8 yrs. and loved it there. If my parents didn't just make me move to AZ I would still live there. Quail Lake was 5 minutes from my house, and Powell was an hour 1/2. They are almost done building another lake in the area called Sand Hollow. There are a lot of good boarders down there. I plan on moving back for my Sr. year. Billy Park rips! Oh... yes I'm mormon.

well utah definately isn't the place for people that are big into drinking but if you want to ride utah has some the most diverse places to ride in the country. with so many lakes so close to just about everything its hard not to get into riding here. when you go to utah lake almost everyboat has a board on it. is amazing to see because four years ago that wasn't the case

I love Utah. It's beautiful there. I love SLC's proximity to the mountains. You don't get that with other big cities like Denver.

Hey, do you Mormons have to wear some kind of special holy underwear or something when you ride. Does it dry fast?

I don't know but I heard something about special Mormon underwear...

no man we don't have to wear special underwear. i wear regular board shorts just like everyone else. sure there is stuff we wear other times but not when we board or do other sports. sometimes people have the biggest misconseptions about us. we're not religous psychos

yeah, there are alot of people getting into the sport but 95% of them are wallys. You dont have to worry about getting hurt on the hard landings, its the guy pulling his 15 kids on a tube right behind you that you should watch out for. The scary thing is that most of our wallys are sober Shocked

Utah is cool, lots of good lakes and stuff to do. I manage to get drunk here no problem, all the drinking rules are truly B.S., they don't affect me one bit. It would be nice to be able to go to the 7-11 and buy a keg, but you can bootleg one from WY which is only 45 min away.

I'm not Mormon, there certainly is lots of them out here. I have no problem w/them what-so-ever and have some good friends that are. It is pretty funny seeing boats loaded down w/Dad and at least 10 teens/kids, it's a common site out here. BTW the underwear they have are called "Garments".
