|
|
I've asked before about the PS02s before on this forum and I got some ok feedback.
(Disclaimer: I don't have time to research some of this stuff myself because I'm on my break from work or else i'd do it myself)
Is the only difference between the the AS02s and the PS02s the air chamber support?
I've looked on this site and found a review about the AS01s; is there any difference between the AS01s and AS02s?
Anyone else ridden in AS01s or AS02s (if so please give you're opinion).
Thanks guys. Happy Father's Day to all you father's out there. Have a good one. |

i don't know that there is a difference between as01's and 02's besides the color. If i could change my review i probably would. Although the bindings are really comfortable i have a pretty bad time releasing out of mine. I never came close to coming out and as a result i had two boards destroyed by riping out inserts as well as straining the ligements in my ankle from landing heaving on my front foot and their being too much support. I would demo them and see what you think if you can. I have had people say they come out of them so who knows, but i do know there is a team rider that jacked up his ankle the same way.... _________________ www.hyperlite.com

| Do you think you got a size too small? |

| They keep you locked in for sure, but they do release. I found if I didn't honk on the laces as much, they were much better. Still lots of support and stuff but would release if I came down hard. |

definitley had the right size. Like i said some people say they come out. But I saw a team rider jack up his ankle the same way i did so i guess it depends on the person... _________________ www.hyperlite.com

BurkeViper, the liners are different on the PS vs. the AS/FS. The PS has a traditional NEO/EVA liner whereas the AS/FS has the "fabric" liner (where LF got their idea for their 04 line but that is a whole different debate).
I don't know of any differences between the 01 and 02 aside from color. Like suckmywake said, if you don't crank down the laces you will release when needed and the bindings are much more comfortable.
Also, it seems to me that depending on foot shape, the CD's do run small - according to their chart I am a medium, but I couldn't even get my foot down into the medium, so I ended up with a large. _________________

chavez-y-chavez, So why the different liners for the bindings? Which offers better longevity? More comfortable? Etc.
I called a guy who gave my cousin his number off of e-bay. He said on the chart I'm the highest on the medium so he told me to go with a large. But I haven't decided on what to get yet |

BurkeViper, everyone has different tastes. Of the two I would guess that the Neo/EVA would last longer. The fabric would be more comfortable but I am perfectly happy with the Neo/EVA liner.
Go with the large if you do get them. _________________
