i made a badass wakeskate last season and the only problem that i have with it is its too heavy compared to the real skates made by real companies. the one i made was made out of 3 layers of 1/4 in. plywood so it was 3/4 of an inch when put together. I want to make another one and was thinking about using some kind of lighter material for all the layers, or maybe 2 layers of plywood with a foam or something like that in the middle to keep it lighter and more bouyant. do u guys know about anything like that that would work. help would be much appreciated.
I just made a wakeskate. It has a foam inside with strips of wood in it for strength. Then i warped it for shape and coated it with a few layers of epoxy and its almost ready to go. I just have to paint it. Mine was probly pretty expensive because of the epoxy tho.
