Here is a shot of the 05 Malibu VLX with Titan III tower. The VLX will have an exclusive option, the Hammerhead 383, 400hp and over 400lb of torque. The hull is wider and longer, and will have the Gorilla fins introduced on the 04 Malibu LSV

What are they getting for Malibu's there? Here in the Bay Area, CA - they're over $50K OTD
Malibu has come along way since I first bought my bubble deck (brand new) in 1986

stewart, Thanks for posting those, I had a thread in the general discussion asking if it was an 05 pulling the Open. I guess this clears it up! Nice pics. It also looks like they added the fourth ballast tank up front as in the LSV. Might just pull the trigger.

Here's the Malibu Open boat with the Illusion X.
BTW, for 2005, all Malibu's will come with the Titan III standard. The Illusion X will still be an option. The skylon "tuna" tower will no longer be available through Malibu. Also, a new tower the "Blade" will be an option. The Blade will be carbon fiber, look similar to the Illusion X, but will have lights and speakers molded in. The prototypes are being built right now.

Brian B., I don't know how crazy I am about the Titan III either, but its better than that damn ugly backwards Illusion...it looks like it's going to eat something.

| RUSSIAN, That is the redesign, the regular vlx is now called the V-ride and is toned down.
