How far away are the good wakeboarding spots?
I'm going to be right by the big "bay" there (don't know what that's called), but that certainly isn't the best water, pretty rough. Anyone here of any shark problems there? They have a lot of dolphins in there.
How big of a problem are 'gators in the fresh water lakes? Do folks do anything special to avoid them?
I'm teaching my 5 year old to ski, so I'm not really excited about just floating in the water after helping my daughter while the boat pulls away in either salt water or fresh water. Anything to worry about? (I'm used to Austin, we just have poisonous snakes...)

I've taken my boat there twice now and have had no problems with sharks or any other animals. Yeah lots of dolphin/porpise but they typically won't swim up to you. Get a map of the bay area from any one of the local West Marine stores when you get there (that's what we did) They tell you water depths throughout the bay, which is nice cause a lot of the bay area is about 2-4 foot deep. There are a lot of long coves in the north west side of the bay that are decent for riding. _________________ The content above may contain inaccuracies and/or typographical errors.
