Yes...the repeated impact compromises the integrity of the core of the board...ANY board.

Yes, it does. Some of my old boards have divets worn into them from repetative sliding. You can totally feel the flimsiness of a board after it has been abused from sliding. This is why people, including myself, keep "slider boards" aside for this type of stuff...

Yeah sliders scratch and can break, and bend your board.

BiGaIrNaUtIqUe, there was a bit sarcasm in scotts post.

the platinum will probably hold up a little better than the regular absolute but really anything can break at anytime....nothing is a for sure guarantee.

so to answer you question, no, in fact no board is "indestructible" on sliders
