Yeah I am debating on wether to treat it like a antique car, or pimp it like a rock store.

Might I digress, but i would say the second option is gonna be the eaisest. but if it runs for $300 you cant really go wrong...

gonna run kinda bad with the manifolds not being connected to the exhaust, distibutor laying on the block and the alternator on the floor of the boat. Even if you can get it for $500 it would prolly be a decent deal, it would seem that you could at least get your money back out of it... unless you can't find parts. You may want to call SkiDim and ask about some parts you may need.

Did you restore that 2001 looks nice. I know how big of a deal I don't plan on it hitting water until late 2005 summer of 2006 fully restored. I think as far a secondary boat to tool around in ride behind ocassionaly, it would be pimp with the big air horn.

No... Didn't restore the 2001 - maintained it that way Smile

I did help a bud restore an old ski boat - it was a Pro Am, early 70's

It was sooooooooooooooooooo much work, I can't begin to tell you

I would never do it again, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone

I could honestly say that your boat is "rougher" than the boat we restored

It took all of two years to complete - I bet he spent $10k too

And his reward......? People say "What is that thing?" Not what I call an "attaboy" lol Laughing

Um it's different but you can't really say one is easier than the other it depends on the condition and you skill set. A body-off frame-up restoration of a car that's been sitting in the elements for 20 or more years is no picnic...

Anyway, as for buying the boat, of course it will be a lot of work but if it's something you enjoy doing and you have the time and resources go for it.

Well I have the time and the resources I will have the body and gel coat done by cc pro's the rest (engine, wiring, and interior) I will do with the help of friends I have priced it out and to get it to float 2 g's and to run with a 66 rebuilt chrysler 2.199.00 So for 4,200.00 I can atleast get it in the water.

that should be an incredibly good wakeboard boat because of the shape of the hull and it's probably fairly heavy. I would love to see an old CC that someone has fixed up to be used for a modern wakeboat. There was a 69 Correct Craft for sale over the winter near me but the motor looked shot and i'm not much of a do-it-yourselfer. And it was way more than $500.
