OK so I picked up some 03 byerlys with the boa thing over the winter. I have been out about half a dozen times and the knob is gone to tighten those suckers up. It must of happened when riding the first rider used em. When we switched riders we noticed it was gone.
Is this something I should be able to pick up at a shop or do I send em back? If I can get one over the phone is it something I can fix? It doesn't look like anything is broken, the knob is just gone.
If I have to send em back in, I can. I have a set of greg nelson clamps, but would rather not be without my new bindings all summer.
If anyone else has had a similar experience, any input would be appreciated. _________________ http://www.funonthefox.com/ |

I'd take 'em back to the shop you got them from. Those knobs always fall off. If you got them from somewhere that isn't local, go and see Blair at Chicago Sea Ray. They'll hook you up. _________________ www.MidwestMilitia.net |

sorry to hear that dude...i hope u don't have to send them in, cause they take a while to get back. I'd go down to your local shop and ask them if they can get a knob for you. I've only heard negative things about that boa system. Anyway good luck _________________ UCSB Waterski Team |

The Byerlys 03 are awsome. I ride them about 3-4 times a week and love them. No problems with them for me. I would go to a local shop though. _________________ I LOVE TO GET HIGH! off the water. |

OK my buddy picked up a knob for me when he bought a wakeskate on sunday. They threw it on for free which was cool of them. '
SO I have a new knob with a little chainsaw looking piece of metal in it. and I have the binding (without the knob) and it has some kinda flanged ring of metal thingy.
Anyone have any idea how this crap goes together? Should I just bring the whole setup up to the shop? Or does it just snap together somehow and I am being stupid? _________________ http://www.funonthefox.com/ |

I have here the instructions from my TEMETs, on how to replace the boa string, so it should be the same.
1. the holes should be lined up, so that you can put your lace in.
2. make sure the set screws are loose, and insert lace until visible in the viewing hole.
3. tighten the set screws.
4. pop the knob on top, and tighten it on. the screw for the knob is the little hole in the middle of the knob.
that's it that's all. |

those bindings are junk. I went through 2 pairs in a month. My buddy and my cables both snapped, my knob fell of, and the wire came undone. Im just rocking the parks now and no problems. _________________ Everything in Between is what matters the most...

I think it was chicago sea ray which hooked me up with a knob. Thanks for the input guys. I put it back together today and it seems to be working, I just hope it stays on this time.
If I had it to do over again I would have gotten some different bindings. I am already down this road though so I will see how they last the rest of the summer. _________________ http://www.funonthefox.com/ |

Call hyperlite thier number is on the hyperlite web site. I broke a knob jumping off the back of the boat. I called hyperlite and they sent me a replacement and two extra's at no charge. BTW it only took three days to get them. I love the comfort and easy entry of these bindings and I also like knowing I have extra knobs in case the BOA's break. Good Luck _________________ ......and one time at wakeboard camp. Come on people say something original. |

| If I had a pair of bindings that broke frequently I'd call Hyperlite every three - four days & just stockpile a list of replacement parts. There's no way I'd allow this to get in my way of riding. I guess that's why I bought CWB's... |

I have the temet bindings which also have the BOA system. Just went back into the shop today because I broke the wire again. I have had the bindings in the water about 6 times and they have broken twice. The shop is really cool about giving me that replacement pack with the wire. I just don't like going to the water and always wondering if they are going to break. _________________ NOR*CAL |
