Well after the second try I got up, but after about another 15 tries I got up and went about 20 feet. Was the best few seconds of my life Razz

Cant wait until next weekend when I can practice some more.

This sport is hell on your ancles and forearms, unlike snow where my legs just hurt all the time.

Well just wanted to post of my sucess in getting up for the first time.
Many thanks to people on here for helping me get there.

Yeah, getting up for your first time is awesome. I remember my first time out, it took me about 4 tries. The first time i got up i only went for about 100 yrds or so, but it was great....

Your body will get less and less sore, or it should, as you wakeboard more. You are just working muscles that don't usually get worked. I started WB this year, and after about my 3rd weekend out, the next morn i was fine, except my neck was a lilttle tweaked from catching an edge and getting a whiplash action when i hit the water Mad Laughing ...

Congrats! Once you practice some more the soreness will fade away.
