You know, Mr Rogers Neighborhood. I used to watch that show all the time. It was a little weird.

I watched Mr. Rogers Neighborhood. I think it was a pretty cool show, for kids. Fred Rogers was definitely a huge influence on children's television.

Did anyone ever see "The Magic Garden" when they were little? I think the NY tri-state area got a lot of children's shows that didn't air elsewhere, in the days before cable was common.

This is Mr. Rodgers... I used to watch him all the time back in the day. Oh, this was a funny pic I got awhile back, for those of you who don't know he didn't carry a gun on the show.

Do you guys remember his "Land of Makebelieve" where King Friday, Lady Elaine and that cat lived? He did all of the voices for the puppets. The cat voice always tripped me out though - "I, meow, love, meow, meow, King Friday, meow, meow."
I think he ate too many shrooms in his youth.

ROMPER ROOM, I used to watch that too. I used to think that when they looked through the magic mirror they could actually see me in my living room, what you expect I was a little kid.

Also got up early in the AM to watch speed racer. I remember when TV wasnt 24-7, I have to listen to that buzzing and stair at that multicolored or B & W picture on the TV screen before the station came on in the AM.

I did not watch it that much-but remember it being on at my Nannie's house and at childcare! I do think he was a great influence and is much better than what is available for children today! Sorry to hear of his passing!

Sad Rest in Peace Mr. Rogers!

I was pretty bummed when i heard out about it this morning. I loved Mr. Roger's neigborhood and even still watch it occassionaly. If you think he was gay or a sissy or whatever I think that's too bad because what he represented and sought to do for kids is amazing. He was definitely wierd by our stupid standards but was he in a bad way? He's a million times the person most sports stars are. I can honestly say I think I'm a better and kinder person because of that show. Thanks Mr. Rogers.
