OK, here it goes -

Sky supreme V208 or Sanger V210? both with their wakeboard packages.

Both with the 315hp mercruiser engine, both with std ballast, perfect pass and a trailer. no stereo or tower (i'll fit that in the UK)

Looking at spending just short of $38,000 - who will give me the better boat? I know i can get a suprmee for that, but what about a sanger? is it out of budget?

What do you guys think?

And please don't suggest any other brands i've seen them all already, these are the only 2 boats i am now considering.

Thanks for any replies.

Brit Rider, get the V210 for the humongous wake potential.

Chavez don't be going and posting fake pictures!! The first one is legit right? I know the second isn't. I would however agree with you, the V210 is a great boat and handles like a race car when empty, super fun to drive! It has a low freeboard & you feel like you are in the water but it also has a ton of cockpit space, they made the bow area pretty small and really stretched the cockpit. Tons of space, it's what I'd get if I was in the market. The wake shape is awesome!!

I have to call The guy at sanger in a few hours... time to try and bash out a deal!
at this moment in time its whoever can offer the better deal - sanger or supreme, but i'm leaning toward sanger.

Any one know what a good price on a Sanger 210 is?

Stephan,

I'm pretty sure that there is nothing fake about the second pic.

Perhaps you are thinking of this one?

Yep, no photoshop action in the pics I posted! Wink

Brit - I think the V210 should be 35ish (USD) but may be a little higher with PP.

Yeah, you will get lots of change out of 38. I paid mid 30's for mine with the following options:
Proflight Tower, bow cover, full boat cover, bimini top, PP pro, board racks, 350 mag engine, tandem trailer, no ballast, no stereo.
This was last June and the prices have gone up a bit but it shouldn't be too much more. I have seen them on www.boattrader.com for mid 30's all the time. I would definately get the proflight tower tho, those towers really suit the boat and it is very solid.

True, I was awash in the opportunity to flame on Chavez for Photoshop error. Haha see obviously the Sanger wake is the $#!T it makes me think it's been digitally rendered. Go with Sanger, you will be much happier!!

So is anyone using a sanger in the ocean?

The hull doens't look so great for rough water... low free board and the hull isn't that steep either. which is why the supreme appeals to me...

Maybe a V215 would be better.. anyone got any experianc eof the sangers in rough water?

I have a 03 Sanger V210 Wakeboard series with both ballast options, Aft and Stern, Pro Flight tower and so on. I have been wondering why people seem to be so focused with Mastercraft, Supreme, Ski Nautique and Malibu. Do not get me wrong as all of these boats are incredibly nice but those boats are quite expensive as I looked at all of them including Tige before buying. I even got to test a couple of boats. The Sanger seemed to be the best mannered boat and was priced much better. Now I am not a Pro Wakeboarder so maybe for those guys that are, there is something I am missing and those boats are worth the extra money. I know Sanger does not flood the maket with advertisements in every magazine so maybe visibility is the reason the others are more prevalent in all the lakes. I can say this though, I like being out on a lake in my deal, Not many around and people always comment on it.

I say BUY SANGER!

Brit Rider, we've had the V215 in some decent chop and it rides great - better than any other v-drive I have been in. Wink

I'm headin to surf expo in september and it would be cool to meet with sanger their - anyone know if they show them there? or will i have to go to the factory?

One more thing- Chavez - how much weight do you run in your boat - that wake is out of hand.. its fricken huge! i can't even imagine creating a spine with 2 of those sangers together! Laughing

Brit Rider, actually the top pic is from Ralph and the lower was taken by K-Dub on a friend of his' boat.

PM Ralph if you need weighting info on the V210. As for the V215, we have only run stock ballast and have been more than happy. We will toss some sacks in later on when we become so daring! Twisted Evil

Ralph has been really helpful, hes answered a stack of questions already.

I'm just waiting to see some really sick photos then I gotta decide on colours. I like blue all over and or maybe black. as soon as i see some shots of other boats i'll be able to decide on colors.

Thanks everyone for your input! Love ot see some shots if you have them.

Wakeupdude, it was a joke from a while back. Compare that to the one chavez-y-chavez posted. Same picture but the larger wake is a photoshop version. K-dub took the original if you doubt it was behind a Sanger.

See so Here is how it goes so far:
Sanger: Great price, great build, HUGE weighted wake, looks cool no-one in my country has one (which i like Cool ) Plus amazing service from what i've recieved so far.

Supreme: Really good price, very deep freeboard so good on the sea, Wake not as good as sanger, Service no where near what sanger have given me so far, I do prefer the look to the sanger though, top builod quality, all glass (lets not go into that now tho!) construction.

It all comes down to 4 main points:
I prefer the look of the supreme (deep V will be good for the sea)
The service from sanger seems better
The wake from the sanger seems better.
fit, finish and price is the same on both boats so either is within budget.

Its a tough one. I'm heading to Surf expo in september for a quick visit, does anyone know if these two manufacturers show their boats there? if not tis means catching an internal flight to california (I believe thats where they are built??). this seems like a major hassle though... Rolling Eyes

Nor*Cal, I didn't doubt it because I have never seen an X-Star wake like that, hence my confusion. I actually thought he was joking...

"Man that beasts wake is gonna be chest high, with no ballast and only a robot driveing the boat!" Laughing

I was hell bent on getting the MB B52 - and it was all but a done deal, but I failed to get the interest rate I needed to make the monthly payments Sad

Something I hope all boat-buyers know. Everytime you have your credit checked, it costs you 5 points off your credit - Well I didn't know that and I shopped the internet for boat loans, filling out credit app after credit app. Well I dropped my credit rating from the high 700's to barely 600 - and as a result I lost the interest rate needed to keep the B52 afordable

So........... Now I'm looking at one of two boats.... The Centurion Lightining or the Sky Supreme 208

I personally perfer the Sky Supreme 208 - my wife likes the Lightining

Here's the 208 - I forgot to take pictures of the Lightining. lol
