Have fun!
Just ride like it's practice. Prep the way you normally would for a practice ride.
Good luck,

bradb speaks the truth. The feeling I usually get when I compete is a mix of wanting to go huge, but also trying not to wreck, which results in weird edging and poor movement in the air.
Do whatever you can to just relax and tell yourself it's just another day on the lake. I was lucky enough to ride in a lot of Wet Wednesdays every week in Portland, OR to get real comfortable with competing. Just have fun man. |

Just have fun. Obviously, your first competition can be a little nerve wracking, but once you're on the water you should be good to go!
One other suggestion: Take it easy on your first few jumps to get a feel for the wake, to get warmed up, and relaxed. Then go for it! |
