Actually they help a lot and they are recommended by the majority of pros and skilled riders, thats why everyone talks about it on these forums so much.

There are those that are able to throw a 900 on a tramp but can't land a 360 on the water, thats where tramps get a bad rap. But its not just role playing, it helps you feel rotations and figure out what your body needs to do- whether its pulling the line in to your hips, figuring out where your hands need to be, boning a leg out to slow down a rotation, or whatever, tramps help out a TON for your air awareness.

Example- Try a tantrum to blind on the water before getting it down on a tramp and you will probably pull your shoulder out of socket.

I agree, strapping a board to your feet actually helps you out more, because your more balanced like you would be on the water

i tried the tramp for the first time the other day. it's alot of fun. landed a slurpee my first time so i was pretty happy.
