hey guys!

I ussually only post my vids in the ladies lounge cuz I have only been boarding for about 8 months. so I figured you guys would get bored without flips and inverts and grabs. Laughing .but I have been giving 100% each time I go out and was really proud of the progress I made in the last two weeks...so I made a video of last nites riding and thought I would share (for those of you who don't make it to the ladies lounge) Wink

anyway, enjoy!

I have been working on getting bigger air then decided to try my first grab last week..so this is the results.

Nice video and nice riding. I really couldn't care less if a video has grabs or inverts....I just like to watch people ride.

I thought I responded to this...I just wanted to say you have a great attitude towards riding. Don't do it for anyone else or worry about what anyone will say about it, ride for yourself and always have fun with it!!

Hey! thanks for watching guys!

Tyler-I am itching to get that backroll...was gonna save that as my 'goal' for camp..figured Shaun and Travis would be the best teachers I could ask for so was gonna work on perfecting the stuff I got then 'go big' at camp?! But, who knows..maybe I'll try it before then. I am so focused right now and having so much fun learning all this new stuff..this could be just the right time.

Stephen-thanks! I am glad that my vibe gets thru in my vids and pix. you are so right. I don't do this for anyone but me and my own personal satisfaction. It feels so good to know that friends and other riders can help me by giving me instruction or advice..but ultimately its 100% up to ME to GET 'ER DONE! Wink and I have fun EVERY time I hit the water! (figuratively and litteraly! Laughing )

pumpkin- ME TOO! I wish more people would post their vids!
Cen- I have been working hard..finally got those w2w's consistently, then it all started falling into place! guess that was the magic key!

going out tomorrow and working on my TS w2w and my HS 180 W2W.

thanks for watching guys!

Riding good, I like it.

Keep that handle in tight on those 180 and you will be good to go.
Pop then snap the hips.

It's nice to see people with a smile on their face from start to Finish, good job.

thanks Waketech!!--I like the board in your profile with the dragon on it. what is that?

J-I am forever battling with the ol' rope in gimmick. any tips? I mean I think about it while I am out there riding so that I 'focus' on doing it. someone told me 'pretend like your arms are pinned to your sides' I try that. but I even notice sometimes when I land how far our my arms are. I want to break the habit now that I am just a beginner so that I dont carry bad habits over. I have also tried movingmy hands in on the handle a little (closer together)..anyway. any tips or help from anyone would be greatly appreciated.

I think I smile more when I am wakeboarding than any other time!!!

Thanks for posting your video, nice job! So when are you going to camp? You are right about Travis.... he can teach you whatever you want to learn. I went to The Spot, before he hooked up with Shaun, and he was wonderful!

When It comes to keeping your elbows in, it basically comes with strength & repetition. If your back & shoulders are not up to the task then they will slowly let the handle out. This becomes increasingly troublesome as you look to control yourself in the air ie. tweaks, spins, shifty's etc. Lots of push ups, rows, flys & pullups is what I'd recommend. You pretty much need to reinvent your riding so that the handle is in at all times. Notice how much more control you have & you will never go back. Have fun!!

smlparksguy133..... I ride at Falls Lake. Nice profile pic. Ever driven one? I have.... 60 mph in 2nd gear and she wanted more! That's 2nd gear out of 6. If only the road had been longer with no traffic in my way. Twisted Evil

Christy--Thanks! I am going to camp the last week of July. five days of nothing but wakeboarding! yiiippppeeee! I have heard nothing but good about both of them as teachers/drivers. I am so excited to go.

I went out today and focused really hard on keeping those elbows in and the rope in closer. I pulled outta some big w2w's (what woulda been crashes) cuz I kept the handle in. Very Happy

haircut...hmmm...no. (its pulled back in a pony tail that day I was riding)

I have been letting it grow for about the past 6 months. (the day (of the video) I even commented to jake 'kool, my hair is long enuf stay back the whole time I ride!')

its almost to my shoulders!! yeah!!!

I had it like this *see pic below*(well, variations of this for close to ten years..) its been blonde, red, black, brown, hilited...you name it.

The only suggestion I would make is to worry about it the most AT THE WAKE more to save energy.

Don't get into the habit of pulling in at the wake but stay as strong as you can at the wake. when normal free riding it's OK to let the arms out, we all do that. Just focus on stayn stronger at the wake.

I know you have a TS W2W in you also you just need to charge it a few times.

Jdogg--That is what I was kinda wondering..you see me kinda struggling while I am outside the wake..then I think in my head..ok everyone says pull it in..while in the air...I think I just totally forget to do that!
thanks! I am gonna GET that TS w2w...hopefully within' the next couple times I go out...I am really gonna push for it. you are right..I do need to charge it.

Thanks wakeboarder/Dyon!

XXwakeboard--that is what I am hoping for..I did notice a few times yesterday when I was out..I just kinda automatically reached for my tail..( I was workin' on them yesterday) and I was like..'whoa..where did that come from??' felt good. Mr. Green

anyway, got a new video done yesterday..check it out..I posted it on a new thread.
(it has some boys in it too!) + 1 chick in a bikini. oh wait..that is just me...nevertheless..I am in a bikini. Razz

Thanks so much Alan!! yeah, my heelsides feel ALOT more comfortable!

Round-I just started getting the w2w down about two weeks before this video. so the hang time will come with more experience Wink

I didnt take just one attempt..at the begining of the video there are two different attempts (you have to watch closely) in the second one I throw the handle.. and a few others that I didnt make so they didnt make the video..I tried about 8 times total that day..it was the first time I had ever even thought of trying it. I worked on it last time I went out and will again this weekend. hopefully I'll have it b 4 I go to camp! Very Happy
