Ok Here goes... my buddy was pulling my BRAND NEW CWB Tattoo board into the boat after my ride and as he lifted it out (head height) it slipped out of his hands and slammed agains the rear of my boat...

CORNER MET EDGE and this is what im left with.... (see pic attached)

its about 1" wide all along the edge and 1/2" deep into each side... i wish the damn ding / dent was on the top or bottom of the board... but its on my edge.. EERRGGHH...

i popped out the dented in pieces... so it looks better... but...how do i fix this...

what do i do? PLEASE HELP ASAP!

THANKS... Steve

ouch! you could pry try to send it back to cwb and they will pry end up trying to fix it for you but if they won't don anything because its not a defect they will pry tell you tuff luck but its always worth a shot..... if you do send it in hopefully you have an old board because it usually takes a round 2- 3 weeks to get t back and they might not even touch it..... I will just c all their hotline and see what their warranties cover..... good luck

all you really need to do is seal it off so no water gets in and water logs your board, but if you really want to get rid of the crack, i usually use bondo of fiberglass to fix bigger cracks. The only down side is is that you will have to dremel into the board a little farther to get a good bond, then what you would do is use tape or a flexible plastic and put it on either side and pour the bondo or fiberglass inbetween the plastic (the plastic acts like a mold and should help shape the bondo or fiberglass to the shape of the board) From there let it dry and sand it to match the orginal shape and if you want to you can repaint it and it will hardly be noticable

but that is pretty small so i think i would just stick some epoxy or something that dries really hard in it so that water will not get in side and cause more damage

I done the same thing to mine and this is how i mended it.....

Get some araldite, squeeze into the gab, put cardboard either side and the clip together tightly when dry take off and lightly sand away the rough edges, worked a treat, can hardly notice.

I wanted to mend mine because i didnt want it to split anymore not to make it look pretty, you cannot notice, but if you want a 100% pristine job then you can take it in somewhere, but trust me the above works.

Its not new, I've known you've been on here for a while.
You know if you do move, the cheaper rates there might free up a budget for a cheap boat.

We did think about that too, my boyfriend got his international boat driving license so he might be able to work doing that as well if it is all year round good weather.
