hey
i'm thinking of buying a wakeskate but i'm not sure which one to get. ive never wakeskated before and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions. i have my eye on the hyperlite(cause i ride a skateboard with a really high tip n' tail) gate but then i'm wonderin if its too advanced.

Is wakeskatin really that hard ordoes Grubby just make it look easy.
thanks

wakeskating is anything but easy....ne ways the scape is cheap and that wouls start u out nicely so if end up not liking it u wont have to worry bout blowing your cash....i think the gate id a little too advanced for a newbie to skatin.

Ya and you would spend way too much on a gate. I would try to steer away from hyperlite though. Go with Kampus, Cassete, or something. I love my scape though. But focus on an all skate company if you want a nice skate.

no its not ( idont think ) cassettes its own company....the 04 cassettes look sweet but the kampus skates look odd to ride because thier shape is different from everyone elses...one of my favorite riders....clint tompkins.....rides kampus so i cant talk bad about them but i would never even think about buying a kampus deck without demoing first.....if u have that option take it.......liquid forces decks look kool too.

I learned on a 'Lucky' board and now own a HL 112 Catalyst. The lucky goes for about $100 retail, cheaper on Ebay. This was a great board to learn on. The Catalyst is over twice the price and is far more advanced, lighter, tighter and a lot of fun. The lucky should carry you thru your first year.

do yourself a favor and look at other boards besides hyperlite. Look at rider owned companies such as Integrity, Cassette and Kampus. and DEMO if you can

im not gonna be able to demo a board cuz theres no pro shops in my country Rolling Eyes . does he size of the skate matter on your weight n height like a wakeboard.

I was lookin at the HL skates cuz their made of composite (i think) not wood and every one said that they last longer

the new integrity skates look sick and i believe they are composite too. size matters a little but it more effects what type of trick you are gonna be doing if you want to do lip tricks or w2w stuff.

yes, Integrity is a full closed cell, composite construction. Nothing in the board will soak up water.

I ride a Kampus Swing Series 39 inch, and it is the best board I have ever ridden, hence the reason I own one. I'm 6'3 188 lbs, and the 39 inch works just fine for me...very easy to flip it around. Try and support rider owned companies anyhow so they can keep on innovating.
