Which surface is the best?

I use grip tape, but only cause I built my board and it is easy to buy grip tape then to buy foam. only thing that sucks is when you wipe out and scrap you self good on the board, but no pain to gain eh?

i like foam, its more forgiving, nad my shoes grip better on it

I agree, I come from a skating background as well and I prefer grip tape. I just don't like the feel of foam or the squeak of it. I like the contact grip tape gives me and I'm just more comfy on it.

I always liked grip tape and figured it must be better than foam but I got the new grubb and I don't mind it and it saves me from getting all chewed up by the griptape.

i like foam. ive tried both but foam just seems to stick better and is more cushy.

I've never ridden foam, but just standing on it in stores doesn't feel that rad- I don't like the cushiness.

ive riden the cassette foam and its fine with no shoes and all but once youve rident the gripe tape i cant say id go back. But i have never riden hyperlites foam so im not gonna shun it just yet

Hyperlites foam is nice, but I have nothing to compare it to cuz thats the only thing ive ever ridden.

I ride foam on my Grubb, when my Hypercrap falls apart I'll hopefully get a griptape Mutiny.

Seriously though, griptape rules, and it doesn't eat you up that bad, try falling off a longboard onto asphalt one day!

ive riden a HL grip and Foam Cassette and I would say i like the foam better. The grip tape tore up my knee and ankle. My knee now looks like a big piece of beef jerky.

my grubb112 foam sticks better than the 3d cassette i used to ride. Most people prefer griptape because they were used to it in skating> I would like to see how many people who didnt skate before that wakeskated liked grip tape more. I think it is just a familiarity thing.

I definatly like the hyperlite foam alot .... once it gets wet it just sticks so nice
