I just took delivery of my 2004 Mastercraft X2. The clarion radio comes sirius ready. i bought the sirius stuff i need to get it running but i am having difficulties deciding where to mount the antenna. it is a small dome about 3 inches by 3 inches. i dont really want to drill into the gel coat if i dont have to. i had put it temporarily in the cup holder on the passenger side. it worked fine but when i get cruising i loose the signal. i think it is gettting messed up by the windshield and tower which are overtop of it. i thought of mounting it on top of the tower. i have a custom stereo system going in and the shop that does my work said they can mount it up there no problem. has anyone done this and had any luck? anyone have it mounted elsewherer?
let me know,
thanks,
Jordin

| My antenna is above the drivers dash, on the flat surface. Does that make sense? I had someone install it so I am not sure what they had to do to mount it there. But it works perfectly at all times from there.

| above the drivers dash, is it stil under the windshield? is it closer to the center of the boat or the side where the tower would be? i think i may have just had mine to close to the side as it was directly under the tower. you dont have any problems with it cutting out while at cruising speed?

OK, I've marked a red "X" of where it is (this was obviously before it was installed). Hope this helps. We've have never lost reception.
