1) How do you connect the PVC on top PERFECT so that there is no raise or drop at the point where the 2 pieces of PVC connect?
2) What do you treat the wood with that is in the water so it does not rot?
3) Nails or screws?
4) What is a good width for the sliding part (PVC , fibrecon etc..)

1, butt them together, but then file down the joints
2, paint the timber with ooil based paints to seal it
3, screws
4, Id go with the fiberon/ trex, its alot better for sliding

Agreed, but if cost is an issue PVC is OK and cheaper. |
