I'm 14, 60kg and about average height. I ride an old Iconn 145 and am having some trouble learning grabs other than indys. Would a smaller board make it easier for me to learn some new grabs? |

Are you bringing your knees to your chest? Because if your not it'll throw you off balance, I'm not sure exactly how much difference it would make because when your doing grabs your not throwing the board around as much. _________________

I don't think it would help that much. Even if you get a board that's 10 cm shorter (a 135), the tip and tail will only be less than 2 inches closer to you. That's about the length of a thumb. So if that thumb's length difference will be enough to let you make the grab, then yes it will help. Otherwise, it's probably just technique. |

Yeah ok, I'll just practice a bit more. Its just that I found the indy pretty easy, so I might just have to work a bit harder. |

sometimes its hard to get certain grabs because you feel like if you get into a weird position, that you will fall. you just gotta get used to it _________________ Hesitation leads to pain |

No a smaller board wont help, just bring the board to you and grab the board, dont slap it, and dont rush it, just get nice big air and go for the grab |

Thanks for your help everyone, especially colefooter. I'm taking my time now and if I get it right I can float some nice grabs. |
