Anyone ever have problems in older boats with Pylons coming loose or damaging the boat in anyway? This question applies to the standard ski pylon as well as an extended one.

Yep, heard of it all the time. Make sure the mount is tight. If it's loose, it'll aggravate the situation.

I got an extended pylon that clamps on my old pylon. I was surprised to discover that the bolts that hold the pylon in were a little loose. I especially the one way down low that keeps it from coming up, as well as the ones that keep it from coming back towards the skier.

i have a skylon and the pylon bolts come loose every once in a while but they're easy to tighten. No boat damage that i know of. we're pretty tough on it too.

Our old boat was really lose from tubes and extended pylon. It was pretty bad and should have been tightened or replaced. _________________ "Have you ever noticed that waffles are just pancakes with syrup traps?"
