Parks Bonifay wanted to create a Double Up only contest that provided the best riders and their drivers 20 minutes to showcase their skills under the best conditions. To get the smoothest water conditions, the event will go down on one day during a four-day window from May 4th-7th.

Sounds sweet, it's a great idea. I like calling it one day within a 4 day window.

We talked to Lyman about a month ago when we saw him out on the lake. he's still recovering from ACL surgery I beleve. So i dont think a double up contest would be good for a recovering ankle. Wink

Yeah guys, let's ruin the whole point of the double up contest and try to find out where it is!!

This isnt supposed to be a main event like the PWT. Its all about having the best riders get together and just try to one-up each other to push the sport to new levels. Thats why Parks and them are always on the top. You gotta come up with ideas like that to try new stuff and just blow people away with the stuff they will land. I think Parks will totally go for some 1080s and Id look for lots of mobe variations trying to put in a 5 or 7 instead of just a 3. Just my outlook

Your right, it is a doubleup contest, but read again. Nobody knows the location, or even when exaclty it is. The media doesn't know where it is until the event, and the riders might know, but their mouths are shut.

I was wondering about that trick (darin's tripple flip). He had tried one (or some, but I only saw one) at the masters a few years ago...he got about 2.5 rotations and he chucked the handle. It's not my ideal trick, but god, you have to give him credit...I wouldn't want to try it and I certainly wouldn't want to f-up and eat my knee...but it's cool for him anyway. Hmm...my point of all of this was that I thought he gave up on it because I hadn't heard anything about it in like three years.
