|
|
Hey everyone..
Just curious to see what everyone has been quoted for prices on these boats. I am still deciding between the two 2004 (X9-X2) but they price out about the same. Ive been getting about 46500 for either of the two with PP wakeboard pro, pop up cleats, MC trailer, and cover. This is before the trade even factored into the deal. If anyone has been looking for the same boats let me know...I really am looking to get the best deal possible.
Thanks |

| that seems about right. the x-2 is just the old x-star and the x-9 is the newer version mastercraft. |

| The price on the x-9 seems like a fair price to me. When we were shoping around a couple months back our dealer was around 52 for a loaded x-9 with the 330hp engine and then every other option possible. I have no idea on x2 pricing so I cant help you there. What will you mainly be using the boat for? My family just traded in our 02 x-9 and purchased an 04 x-star. The x-9 is a good ski boat and an ok wakeboard boat(better ski than wakeboard), if you want you can email me at mhsb1029@hotmail.com and I can send you some video clips of us behind our x-9(only think I have vids of wakeboarding not skiing). I have never skied behind an x-2 so I am not sure how the wake would be for that, I rode behind an 01 xstar (same as new x2) and the wake for wakeboarding was sweet. Shoot me an email if you have any questions about the x-9, the price that your dealer is quoting sound good, does your dealer participate in the cash rewards program? Good luck on the boat search, dont hesitate to ask any questions. |

I will be using the boat for wakeboarding about 85% of the time but dont really want to lose the skiabilty for family and friends. I have always had 190s and then went an X5 and it is just too small.
That seems to be a fair price?? I was thinking around 45 for either of the two but maybe I am off. If anyone else has any suggestions let me know. thanks |

try to get them a little lower on the x2. maybe 44 or 45 with those options. i paid 41 for a new 03' in january, but it was last years model (no difference but graphics) - single axle trailer which tows great, no pp (which i would like now), no depth sounder, teak swim platform, stock engine (310 hp), no pop up cleats (which it needs), it did have the stereo with the clarion amp and sub though. hope this helps. oh, and make them take you out in both boats plus any other ones you can get your hands on. i love my boat but wish i had test driven everything available. newbie mistakes. _________________ "why don't you purify yourself in the waters of lake minnatonka" |

| In Feb I got a new 03 Prostar 209 (an x9 with everything execpt the decal) and no PP for 36. Honestly, I was at a boat show and had decided to get a Moomba because I could not afford a MC. The local MC dealer saw us drooling over an x-star and saw the Moomba lit under my arm and said that he bet he could match their price. He beat it. OK, I said it had everything. That is a big word. Non-tandem trailer, stereo CD but no sub, 315Hp, depth gauge, bimini top, pop-up cleats, center and rear balast, tower, teak platform, cover. Not really sure what options I missed but I have not missed them yet. Dealer said that he needed the showroom space bla bla bla and that he was having trouble moving it because it was Iris color. Looks pretty to me. Just got back in from a day on the lake and just cannot believe how much I love that boat. Keeping it in a dry stack on a very large lake (40 mile center channel, 800mile shoreline) exactly an hours drive. I will happily drive two hours for an hour on the water with this boat. |

its such a great thing to hear about people having fun on their boats!
my neighbor took me along today when they went to get a new steering wheel for their 01 x-star and we looked around at the new x-2's and the 2004 models were in the 52k range loaded, and the 03's were in the 46k range loaded, with stock engines. i LOVE the x-2! it looked so sporty and the wake is magnificant i have heard! i would recomend it from looking at the thing! |
