Ha Ha those days were great. Hating people just cause they went to a rival school. Once High school ended you realized how stupid you were but it was still fun.

The best thing to do is leave town right after high school and come back no earlier than four years later, then Nobody remembers you and you can get back in touch with who you want on your own terms.

The god part really shouldn't bother anyone, all kinds of people sing here comes Santa Claus, talk about the tooth fairy, easter bunny, etc... even though they don't exist.

My point is that you can say that part just because it is part of the pledge, even if you don't believe in god. Just like millions that involve other entities that don't exist.

I would stand and fight against any threat to our country. It saddens me to know that there are those that choose to live in the security of our borders but will not even swear alliegiance to the country that welcomes them.

I just don't see the big deal with the god part, "one nation under god". It is not specific so it could be any god and thus any religion and if you don't believe in god why would you care anyway? It's about patriotism not religion.

Actually, I think it does belong in public schools. That's the appropriate venue for it. Schools should teach morals and dogma to a degree. They should also be helping to teach children to become productive members of society, thus teaching the obligations we have to enable us to live in such a free society.

I would think that private schools would be where you have the choice.

Then again, I was brought up by a gal that used the Boston Primer to teach us, and a guy that was merchant Marine and Navy.

i know exactly what you're sayin trevo i wrote a paper about that in high school right after it happened saying it was probably just a fad. every car had an american flag sticker on it after 9-11. where'd they all go?
