| I have a 1984 MasterCraft with a PCM 351 Ford. I am having to replace the Holly Carb and plan to convert to electronic ignition at the same time. Question: will a standard automobile electronic ignition with vacuum advance work or will I need to go with a mechanical advance? |

Let me know what they said! A car electronic ignition is about 50$ cheaper than a marine one and if it will work I will change myself. _________________ If you wanna make it,

The following is a quote from their email "Stick with the marine distributor, you should have a Prestolite clip down distributor in the 1984. We have sold the Pertronix in the past but too many problems. We sell the OEM Prestolite conversion kit for $99.00, item 1321. All marine distributors are centrifical advance".
I'm going to do a little more investigating before making a final decision. Installing the Holley and getting it up to speed will probably keep me busy this weekend. With the temps in South Carolina hitting 90+ I'm anxious to get the season started. |

Eric Milks, how much are you looking at for the final cost of this upgrade? _________________ If I agreed with you we would both be wrong. |
