Does anyone have a list or know which head units (non marine) from clarion work with the marine remotes?? If Any? I am looking at upgrading to one with mp3 and higher voltage preouts.
Also, does anyone know which sony decks work with thier remote. I believe the remote model # is Rm xm-10

You can hook a MP3 up to the XM3 Clarion. There is a post about it at Planetnatique.com

The Sony MPX-40, 70 and 80 all play MP3's and work with the marine remote. Great deck. I have MPX-80's in my boat and truck and you can get great deal on them at eBay.

I think you mean CDX MP-40, 70, and 80... I'm about to install the MP-80 in my Tige this weekend, along with the rest of my new stereo... the deck just arrived today. I ordered it online from www.6ave.com ... got a great deal and it has the original warranty because they're an authorized dealer... always nice to be on the safe side.
I hear it rocks and can't wait to test out the G-protection skip prevention, it supposedly holds up well through waves and even the hardest double-ups.
p.s.~ anyone out there who wants to sell their Sony XM-10 remote let me know, i'm not trying to pay $119 for a new one.

wow... I had thought that the XMD3 plays MP3s! I just did a check on their website, searched through the .pdf manual, and there was no mention of MP3 playback! Glad I didnt go w/ the factory stereo!

| The XMD3 has an aux in that you can hook an mp3 player up to... but the deck itself doesn't play mp3's. I too just bought the sony cdx mp-80 with the xm-10 remote. I was a little surprised how big the remote is when i first got it, but hopefully it will look normal once it is installed.
