Ahhh.... besides all the free massages, the easy working conditions, free catered food, great managers, good pay and flexible hours, I love my job for another reason...

ALL THE FREE SH*T THEY GIVE ME!

The manager just came around and gave every exec. A $50.00 gift voucher for Myers (Chain of stores in Australia) just for doing.... well nothing. They do this sh*t all the time! They put on free concerts in the quad with funky bands to dance too, they have BBQ's at lunch... All sorts of stuff.

I just did some quick maths and I figure todays little gift cost the company.... about $6000.00 do to all the employees.

josh- what you dont realize is that with the current aussie u.s. exchange rate $50 and free massages comes out to a $.50 off coupon for rasin bran and a pat on the back.

A quick reference..... $50.00 AUD will buy you a couple of CD's, or a couple of cases of beer, or a case of imported beer, or 10 minutes of phone sex Confused

Its about $25 American dollars. Better than a kick in the pants!

I got got how horrible the hold music to tech support was though.....

Derrick, Kyle:

Yes, I do love my job, but I can tell you... I'd rather have your jobs! Personally I want to open my own board shop, but I don't know if that will ever happen.....

My "job" isn't that bad...sure, I'm still a student at CU, but I get paid to hang out on boats and take pictures...it's fun - can't wait to make it a full time gig.

I just love being outside. Being couped up in an office, I was always miserable, sick and irritable.

My 'job', the actual thing that I do, is pretty boring. I should really called this 'I love my working conditions' or 'I think my employers are pretty cool' but that doesn't have the same ring does it!

Ha Ha, not quite mate. I work for a telecomunications company, the biggest mobile net in the world. Its interesting, but it is a desk job.... I prefer working the bar, but at least I'm not in real estate anymore, that sucked....

This is a GOOD JOB, but it ain't my dream job, and I sure as hell won't be doing it forever.

Sean: Do it. Go get a part time job at a board shop, or write to manufacturers and offer to put up posters around your local area whenever they are having a tour. Submit photos to local street press if they have sports sections etc. etc.

Have fun!

Just hassle the stuff out of them, ask them all the time, hang out in the store so much you might as well be an empolyee, and know the product better than they do.
