I test drove an 04 outback. The lack of wake is why I didn't buy one. Same for the Centurion T5. They were both flat out ski boats IMO.

Yep, the Outback is mainly a ski boat. You can get a decent size wake with a lot of ballast.

Generally here is how it goes:

Kanga, Outback- Great ski wake, good wakeboarding with tons a ballast, not great though

Mobius d-drive (outback ls)- good boat for both skiing and wakeboarding. after 2001 the hulls changed to be better for wakeboarding but still good for skiing.

Mobius lsv (outback lsv)- great wakeboarding wake. pulled the gravity games women last year. can produce a good ski wake but not tourney quality.

Mobius V (kamberra)- wakeboard wake. wider than the lsv. a little more lip and transition because of the bigger size

Mobius XLV-hardcore wakeboard boat. would not want to ski behind it. one of the largest wakes out there compared with any company.
