To keep up with the Jones, most all lightbars use Hella Optiplex Model 1502 Lights. They can be had for around $50 a pair Unless you go for the really expensive projector lamps, there is going to be some reflectivity off of all of them. The 1502's are 'auto' lamps, but they really look good on a shiny or black pipe/speaker setup.

Cut their connectors off, use some 16 ga wire, put in split loom plastic wrap, and wa-lah! They even come with relays and switch (that you won't likely use- switch that is)

More like driving lights than fog lamps, driving lamps project the light further out than fog lamps, but they are the same as those found on cars.

i'm really not sure if there's such a thing as "too bright" for tower lights, but a lot of hella models use euro bulbs, some of which can be found in overwattage styles. H1, H3, and H4 i know of, off the top of my head.

i have hella 550 comets on my car, with 100w H3 bulbs inside. nice for lighting up parking lots for late night skate sessions and the tart in the SUV talking on the phone in front of me going too slow in the left lane Very Happy
